Wash Care:

How to Handle:

• Ironing: Always use a low-to-medium silk heat setting and iron exclusively on the reverse side of the saree. Place a soft cotton pressing cloth over the zari work to avoid direct heat contact, and never use steam.

• Draping Precaution: Wear jewelry, perfumes, deodorants, and hairspray before draping the saree to prevent liquid staining and snags from sharp jewelry prongs.

• Post-Wear Airing: After wearing, gently air the saree on a padded hanger in a cool, well-ventilated room away from direct sunlight for a few hours before folding, allowing moisture and body heat to dissipate naturally.

How to Store:

• Breathable Fabric Covers: Store the saree wrapped inside a pure cotton or muslin saree bag. Avoid plastic or polyester zip covers, which trap humidity and cause zari oxidation over time.

• Periodic Refolding: Take the saree out every 3 to 4 months to air and refold along different crease lines to prevent permanent fiber creases or stress tearing along the folds. Always fold with the zari facing inward.

• Pest Protection: Place natural repellents like dried neem leaves, cedar wood blocks, or clove sachets in wardrobe corners. Ensure naphthalene balls or camphor never touch the silk fabric directly.
