Wash Care:

• Ironing: Always use a low-to-medium silk heat setting. Iron strictly on the reverse side with a clean, dry cotton pressing cloth placed over the fabric to protect delicate zari work. Never steam directly.

• Jewelry & Draping: Put on your jewelry, perfume, and hairspray before draping the saree to prevent chemical spots and snagging from sharp jewelry prongs.

• Airing: After each wear, do not pack it away immediately; gently air it out on a padded hanger in a well-ventilated, shaded room away from direct sunlight to dissipate moisture and perspiration.

How to Store:

• Breathable Fabric Covers: Store in a breathable, pure cotton or muslin saree bag. Avoid plastic or poly-zip pouches, as they trap moisture and cause the zari to oxidize or turn black over time.

• Fold Management: Change the fold lines every 3 to 4 months to prevent permanent creases and fabric tears along stress lines. Always fold with the zari facing inward.

• Pest Protection: Place natural repellents such as dried neem leaves, cedar blocks, or camphor/clove sachets wrapped in separate cotton pouches inside your wardrobe shelf. Never allow mothballs or chemicals to touch the silk fabric directly.
